When someone turns 18 they are given a tattoo, which matches their soulmate's. So it's a shocker when Y/n had two tattoos, both different. It's unknown to have more than one soulmate, especially when they don't even exist in your world. And then, you're kidnapped my a monster, and saved by an overly positive one. Then you realize... Your tattoos matched theirs.
Nightmare and Dream have lived for hundreds of years. It was sad knowing that their soulmate could be born in a few more centuries. After all, most monsters live forever-humans don't. And in the midst of battle, tattoos suddenly show up on their arms. Now they just had to find you.
Description of the soulmate au: Like mentioned, when someone turns 18 they get a tattoo. Monsters always have monster soulmates. But Y/n, Dream, and Nightmare are seriously different. Not only does Y/n have 2 soulmates, but they're both monsters. So their tattoos work differently-Dream and Nightmare only get their tattoos when their soulmate does. The tattoos someone gets represents them, and represents their soulmate. Y/n's is a butterfly, so on her soulmate's tattoo there will be a butterfly.

So, I'm uploading this from my Ao3 account to my Wattpad account! So yeah! This is MY version of the Sans Au Multiverse. The X-event never happened, and Ink and Cross became close (like brothers, along with Reaper due to Ink being soulless, and the weird nature of Cross's). There are three 'new' Au's in this, those are my Au's, but they have never told their full backstory to anyone else. Not even to each other. Most people knew that Ink didn't have a soul since he didn't hide it, but Error, Nightmare, and Killer (yes I ship the four of them) held out until he did (Ink has a soul now) to tell him how he feels, and Ink accepted and returned the feelings. And as this AU of the Multiverse I, as a/the creator, also play a role in this as well. Everything has worked out, meaning there isn't any fighting. They're all friends now. DONT READ THIS CRAP- it sucks please please please do not even touch the book. I'm writing a rewrite, and so far, the first part is published. It has lots more humor than this. Still go check out darksoulzycaliber. They're amazing. Your an artist looking for some appreciation. Just as you about to give up, you look to undertale for some Inspiration. It was only a matter of time before something happened. Ink, in a middle of one of their fights, blinded Error, hurting him much more badly then ever before. In panic, Error ported into one of the Original AU's. Ink, fearing what Error would do, tells Dream about the Destroyer. Now the hunt is on for the broken, blinded skeleton. Meanwhile a blinded Error has been taken under the wing of another powerful Monster who has fallen for the broken Destroyer at first sight. But sweet love is truly beyond him. It is a obsessive love, a unhealthy love unlike any other. Nightmare would do anything for Error, and would do anything to keep him by his side as he goes about taking over all the AU's. In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper.
