Given the chance to change everything, what would you do? In a society defined by bespoke genetic tailoring, Dexter Reid is Aberrant: a rare throwback to the base genome with no remarkable qualities to speak of. Between casual dismissal and outright discrimination, Dex rarely has time to care about anything beyond making it to the end of the day unnoticed and unscathed. In the world after that society falls, Dex rarely has time to think about anything other than how he's going to survive the next five minutes. Nightmares lurk on every corner, and the long-reaching arm of the mysterious Apexi Industries stretches farther than anyone can run. When Dexter wakes up as his eighteen year old self, five years after he was eighteen, with no recollection of how or why; nothing really makes sense to him anymore. But still, how many people can say they get a chance to live through the apocalypse all over again, this time with forewarning? Dex has a choice: use this opportunity to save the people he truly cares about, or gamble it all on stopping everything from going to hell before it even happens.
