In the aftermath of a cold and brutal fight happening inside the Golden House, Aether had unfortunately met his fate with death, having beheaded by the one person he had once thought was his frenemy. A never-ending thirst for blood triumphed over his sense of sanity, and Childe began to relinquish this exhilarating feel of victory. With the sound of his manic laughter echoing in the halls of the Golden House, something far worse is about to happen. Soon enough, the whole world was going against him, even his own powers and Childe could already feel the karma of all his evil deeds crashing down on him in the most horrifying way possible. No amount of apologies will be able to make up for the number of crimes he has done in the past. Childe now has to go through a journey of intense agony, self-discovery, reconciliation and understanding; to break the curse of the Fatui Delusion and finally set himself free from the chains of the Abyss, an unstoppable force that has gotten him under control for years on end.
