Of course he does.  

He had noticed her the moment he saw her alone in that one music room a year ago, few months before the Starcourt chaos. He had marked her inside his heart and since then, even when Sam left Hawkins without saying goodbye, the mark stayed there like a permanent tattoo.

The problem back then was, Sam dated Steve.

Book 1. *First couple chapters of Book 2 out now.* Welcome to Hawkins. Your life changes when Robin, your only friend, helps get you out of a bad situation. She and Steve quickly become your best friends after you move in with your cousin, Dustin. The long haired, ever himself, fellow student and good friend of Dustin, catches your eye. Navigating life isn't as easy as you'd hope but your friends and the so called 'freak' you've fallen for help. Trigger warnings for abuse/child abuse. Drug & alcohol use. Strong language. Sex/sexual acts. Self-harm/talk of suicide. Assault. There are not warnings at the beginnings of chapters. Some themes are rather dark and may be triggering - hence the warnings here. POV story, Y/N format. Slow burn, kinda. Heavy relationship focus leading up to the events in season 4. Not everything will fit with the show but it's a fiction anyway so *shrug* All Stranger Things characters obviously belong to the incredible Duffer Brothers. First story/book, whatever you want to call it, I've ever written. Typing this all up on my phone so please forgive me if the format is weird, I don't know how it varies across devices. This has turned out much more dramatic than I set out for. It's been fun to write though and a little therapeutic as quite a bit of the events stem from my own life. Not to mention finding out about a girl with super powers. Now it's the start of spring break of 1986 and Jeanette stuck by the friends she made during the horrors of Starcourt Mall. People are still mentally recovering from the losses, while others are mentally fighting. The group being the only people who knows the truth of what happened, are doing their best to move on and have normal lives. Maybe what Jeanette needs is to fall in love with a DnD playing, rock obsessed, drug dealer named Eddie Munson...
