After a chance encounter with the new kid and soon-to-be whole school's best pal Ash Ketchum, Serena finds herself feeling a way she is told must be love.
Convincing herself he is the man of her dreams, she is consumed in a rivalry with the totally EVIL (and somehow totally beautiful?) Miette, who cannot allow her own relationship with Ash to be squandered because of some selfish (and really cute?) girl.
Meanwhile, Ash grapples with his own feelings as he is crushed under pressure to find a girlfriend... does he like Serena? Or are they fated to be more than friends in a way nobody could have predicted?
