And in that universe, 14-year-old Max Carsley is trying to survive being a teenager and a prince, all while living in a star-spanning civilization full of alien species, political chaos, and secrets that could shake the galaxy. Flying cars? Check. Wormhole portals? Check. Friends who actually make life make sense? Super check. Max's world is beautiful, messy, and more complicated than he ever signed up for. But the deeper he digs, the more he learns that ruling a planet is the least of his problems. This isn't your average Sci-Fi/Fantasy story. I have an external link at the bottom of most of the chapters that leads to a Google Doc that explains the world. Please let me know if it works. Since Wattpad has an age of consent in their guidelines, I will have the explicit scenes on AO3 and not on here. If scenes like that make you uncomfortable, this will be the version without any of that. If you're curious, I don't use any of the more graphic words, this kind of thing makes me a bit uncomfortable so I wrote it in a way that didn't make me feel weird. Either way, you read whichever version you like. The Wattpad version will allude to some of those scenes however because some are quite important. I'll probably put an announcement or something at the start to let you know.
