hiya this is my first book. Im always looking to improve i wrote this during covid and i found it.
this is inspired by the merlin show that broke my heart into a thousand little pieces when it was over.
Esmeras Nyx was not looking for a job in the castle better yet to be working as the prince's servant. If only she hadn't raised her voice at him and thrown a bucket at his head, but you know it is what it is. However, her working there isn't all that it seems she gets thrown into the world of politics and lies. esmeras uncovers a secret that could throwthe kingdom into chaos and leave it in complete ruins.

This is my first upload on a site like this and i would just like to get some fed back. I write a lot, this ones kinda like a side story. I'm going to admit I always feel rather stupid when my friends read my stuff because I'm always sure its awful and they just aren't going to tell me so this seemed the best way to get some more honest fed back. always looking for advice if anyone is willing to give it. Governments across the globe found that humanity wasn't what it was before and had become dark and terrible to live in, so to fix that they made a small utopia pulling in families, scientists, and important government officials to create the perfect pair of humans. Those two humans would be trained to kill what humanity has become and start it all over, so the world would be a better place. But once they make the female, they find that she is not like her partner. She has a different goal in mind than restarting humanity. He isolated himself and sent everyone away, leaving him with nothing but his own tortured mind. One day, as he's trailing the woods, he stumbles upon a young woman, Eve, who was attacked by his own kind. He ends up saving her with what little magic he has to offer, and taking her back to his manor to give her a chance to heal. Eve has her own troubles back home which led her to the forest to begin with, and what was meant to be a short stay, becomes something far beyond that.
