"What are you talking about, it sounds great so far! It's a lot better than what I can do."
"This college essay has absolutely no direction".
"Well, why are you telling me to come read it so far? Can't you just ask Josh- I mean, he's smart-"
He shot up from his desk. "You know I can't do that!"
"Oh yeah. Right, sorry. Look, why don't you ask him out already".
Noah blushed furiously. I can't do that. What if he's not... you know... into guys? A-and we're already good friends, I don't want to risk our friendship over this.
I saw what he meant. He stopped writing and looked up at me. I asked him, "Would you spend the rest of your life with him?"
He sighed and put his hand over his heart. "Of course I would. He means everything to me".
"Well, I know you'll take good care of him. Just try to ask him out to the dance.
He paused, and smiled. "You know what, maybe I will. Thanks Sadie".
"No problemo,'' I grinned. As I turned to leave, he stopped me.
"And who might you ask out to the dance?"
