Y/n L/n has been best friends with Steve Harrington for as long as she could remember. A lot of people envied her for the fact that she had "everything". She was popular, and a cheerleader. Although it seemed like she had the perfect life, her life absolutely sucked. She wanted to be absolutely perfect. Y/n also has trouble with her love life at times. She's been told that Steve likes her but for some reason she can't find herself liking him back. Eventually, Steve and Y/n get a new job at the mall working at Scoops Ahoy, an ice cream parlor. That's when they meet Robin.

Moving into the small town of Hawkins during her sophomore year of high school wasn't a treat, but she didn't let it ruin her spirits too much. In fact, she even made some new friends along the way. Granted, most of them were in middle school and were major nerds, but that didn't bother her. She even joined in on some of their DnD campaigns whenever they invited her. It was fun, that was until one of the kids, Will, went missing. Along the way to finding him, (Y/N) befriends some people from her own school, including the goody-two-shoes Nancy Wheeler, and her boyfriend, Steve "The Hair" Harrington. She never really understood why everyone was obsessed with Steve. Or was everyone obsessed with his hair? She never knew. He could be a real asshole sometimes, too. But for whatever reason, she finds herself becoming closer with him the more they hang out.
