Praying the Rosary

Before I didn't know the the importance of rosary all I know is that it is a prayer for our lady Mama Mary. Though I study in a Catholic School and often times we pray it after recess I'm still not familiar with its mysteries, though I know you have to chat 1 Our Father, 10 Holy Mary's and 1 Glory Be for 5 times still i haven't had the chance to look for a booklet and know what Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mystery is. Before Mystery of Light is not yet included until Pope John Paul II told the people that it should be recited way back 2002. Not until when I graduated College --was the time I know all the mysteries is. Before I used to pray it but usually I mumbled in every mystery that comes along the way and pray the Our Father, Holy Mary and Glory Be in a perfect way.
Now that I'am 33 and wisely know what the Holy Rosary is and its importance , that even its history I do know because I've read it in small booklet that often times Non-catholic taught that the Rosary was just made by man but.... did you know that it was handed by St. Dominic through the intercession of Mama Mary. Mary told him to preach and tell the people to say this prayer for repentance. That during the time his preaching it thunder and lightning was roaring like a storm was coming. That the people was terrified that was the reason they knelled down and repent their sins.
Some also said that reciting the prayer was just like offering Mama Mary and Jesus with a crown of roses. I've also read that the blessings of the Holy Rosary are: a)your sins are forgiven b)soul that are thirst will be refreshed c) those who are fettered have their bonds broken d) those you weep will find happiness e) those who are tempted will find peace f) the poor will find help g) religious are reformed h) ignorant will be instructed i) the living learn will overcome pride and lastly j) the holy soul have their pain ease by suffrage's.
