The cataclysm arose, the royal guards scattered vowing that someday they would return when Ganon was defeated, promising Princess Zelda that they would be under her command when she called them, but a hundred years passed, almost all the original royal guards died, others took different jobs.
Maybe very different paths, your grandfather always talks about the promise he made the day the kingdom of Hyrule disappeared, but you never set foot in that place, all your life you lived on a pirate ship, sharing with your comrades, living adventures until one day a pillar of light was spotted from all the neighboring kingdoms, that meant something to the old man who raised you: It was time to go back home.
This fanfic takes place immediately after the events of BoTW.

This is part 2 of my fanfic series, so If you haven't read the prequel of this story "Botw Reimagined: The Past", I highly recommend reading it before starting on this if you don't want to get confused. Moving from the past of breath of the wild, we finally get to the game portion of the story. Any feedback is appreciated, as well. (Story) 100 years after the tragedy that was the Great Calamity, Hyrule has finally seemed to have regained its footing. However, the seal on Calamity Ganon seems to be weakening, threatening to break any day now. Fortunately for Hyrule, a hero who has been thought long dead finally returns from a long slumber. That hero is Link. After sleeping for 100 years, Link seems to have lost all of his memories, especially the memories of his failure to protect those that he loved. of course, All rights to any known part of the game go to Nintendo please Nintendo, do not strike me down before I finish this series.
