Teegan Walters has had to spend one week each summer in a tiny beach town in California with her mom for the past ten years.

This year is different.

This year, she has to go for the whole summer.
There's a lot of things she'd rather do than spend eight weeks in her mom's beach house with her new family, but she'd also rather not make a big deal about it.

There's plenty of things that could go wrong, but Teegan's plan is to get a good tan and maybe go to a few parties. She's eighteen now, after all.

Meeting Cohen wasn't part of the plan. He's dark and mysterious and isn't interested in making new friends. Or any friends, really. Teegan decides to make him her summer buddy, since they are both leaving at the end of August.
