A loud noise came from inside the building across from them. All the people immediately became silent. They watched as a young boy, no older than ten, with long religious robes, walked out with a book about the size of his chest. Confidence and authority painted well across his face. As he got closer to them, they could hear the boy's loud authoritative voice echo throughout the plaza.
"Fret not, my flock. Times have been hard indeed ever since the end of the war. Many have recurred to crime in order to survive these trying times. But the Great Artist, in his infinite watchfulness, does not share his jubilation with those that commit iniquity. We must learn from the mistakes of our predecessors that, in their infinite greed and lack of compassion, destroyed themselves. Heed me now, my flock. Is this what we want for our town?"
Rearing this, one citizen in the crowd raises his hand and speaks in a loud, defiant voice. "It must have been that filthy goblin!"
Another one, a woman, agrees with the man's statement. "Who even let that creature inside, anyway?! The goblin is clearly the murderer."
Oh, another one? "We've found a dead traveller in the woods, many dead goblins around it! Must've been her!"
Poor, Osha. Don't be afraid, sweet one, they don't know what they say. That's right Cadimus, take her away from here, she had enough of these simpletons.
"Goblin? What goblin?" Asked the child in cleric robes in a booming defiant voice.
"The one who arrived yesterday, that's always following the Knight."
"That's right! That knight must also have something to do with this!" screamed a random citizen in the crowd.
Oh, Cadimus, you better hurry with her.
"We need to leave, come." Said Cadimus to Osha as he dragged her to the town entrance, but blocking his path was the very same guard that allowed our duo to enter here in the first place. What a stroke of bad luck.
