Jean had come to terms with her life a long time ago, but when her father became sick and made her leave to live with her mother in Washington, everything she had settled on had been kicked back up again. How was she supposed to get along with the women who once abandoned her for a new life? Jean had no plan to adjust to this new life, in a new town, with a new family. She thought she would make it back to her father in Canada soon enough. There wasn't a single thing in Seattle that would ever make her think about staying.
And she was sure of that.
