As a pair of identical twins, Maddie and Wren cannot be less alike. Their similarities stop at their facial features and a shared surname. Maddie is outgoing, she's into sports and parties. Wren is into art and even book club is a bit too busy for her. But guess who jumps on the opportunity to study abroad in London? The introverted Wren. Wren feels like it was a calling, by the famous British architect Christopher Wren to visit London herself. She doesn't have too many attachments to her hometown, unlike Maddie, who is the captain of the fencing team, the head prefect, the next prom queen and everything else. It is supposed to be a two-year trip, what they call A-levels in the UK, and then she will be back for college. But no, two years become five, and after university, Wren is fully transformed into a Londoner. On the other side of the Planet Earth, still living at home at the age of 26, Maddie is partying and not growing up. Until something pretty bad happens to her, and she becomes Mad Maddie. Two girls learn to adult very differently, and how will their lives throw them up-side-down, and will they support each other, or go on their separate ways? Afterall, it's very easy not to keep in touch with the 9,612.79km distance between them.
