Mahi, a trans SeaWing and daughter of Queen Moray, finds herself in a difficult position. She is now living as she truly is, but a daughter of the queen is a potential challenger. After narrowly escaping death, she gathers forces (and maybe some friends) to find her true purpose.
This is a Wings of Fire fanfiction, the eighth fanfiction in my AU series. It is not necessarily required that you read the other seven, but the book before this - Loyalty - is EXTREMELY important to be read first.

Eight has lived semi-contentedly for years. All she has ever wanted is to find a way she can obtain happiness while fulfilling her duties as a Worker of the AntWing Colony. Now that he does, he isn't sure which option to take. Which one he wants. But it isn't Atta who inspires him to act. It's a young AntWing with vengeance on her mind, a dragon he used to detest because she was a better version of him: angry and with a lot to prove, but with the wherewithal to act.
