I opened the fridge. I sighed at the empty space displayed. "I guess I can't live on meager scraps forever." I knew I was right. It wasn't arrogance, it was fact. Most humans die within four or five days without food. Either starvation, disease, or suicide. I didn't like the idea of any of those. I sat down on my couch, watching my TV. I wondered what it would be like if my parents were here...
