At school, we had to do a creative project (a drawing, a letter to home, etc.) for our World War 1 topic in History, so I decided to do a poem as if I was a soldier in the trenches. It's a bit detailed because I had to use historical facts and stuff to get a good level, but I thought it was an important topic and I was a bit proud of it, so I want to share it with you. I got some inspiration from Wilfred Owen's Dulce et Decorum Est and, well, I hope you like it.
Oh, and I'd just like to point out that this poem is written in my point of view of what a soldier's point of view would have been. Enjoy.
