That's how long Egan Conley waited for Dalfon Ananta to look back at him the same way.
Egan enjoys all the perks of being a ghost, including invisibility and immortality. He's already dead, so how could he die again? He could pull pranks for free, and no living being would ever catch him.
However, every single day, before the clock strikes midnight, he passes by this one particular house and leaves the freesia he steals from a nearby flower shop.
And, every morning, before he takes his car for a drive to the company, Dalfon exits his home with one question in mind: Who leaves a freesia on my doorstep?
