Every teenager is scared of life's problems, be it their parents divorcing, finding love or the death of a loved one.

'Because of Cara' centers around a group of friends and how they try to cope as life throws obstacles at them at every given chance. It isn't until their problems seem to finally be coming together when these teens realise how unfair life can be.

Siblings slowly begin to lose their ties with each other, friendships are broken when romance interferes, outsiders threaten to destroy the bonds within the group whilst parents successfully bring out the worst in their children.

Will these friends still be able to acknowledge each other once the worst comes or will it make them stronger than ever?

Niara's life is filled with darkness, sorrow and misery, nothing compared to girls her age. She doesn't bother to hide it either but she isn't strong, resilient and flawless like every girl who's gone through a little trauma. She's got a lot of flaws, errors, sins, mistakes, name them one by one, she's got them all and the worse thing is this seems to be the only thing that makes her stand tall. But when she's forced to move countries in order to "fix" her relationship with her dad,she has to reconsider a lot of the ways she's got through life and what if she comes across a guy who's very being and existence makes her want to live life just a little bit more making her wonder 'was I ever really living or was I just barely surviving?'
