A year before her sister came back to Forks, Nikki moved back to Forks as she hadn't been there for 4 years. She moved away when she was 15 as she managed to complete university by the time she was 14. She managed to get a degree in teaching and journalism but she wanted to become a journalist because she realised that she was too young to be a teacher at her age.
When she moved back to Forks, she got a job as a history teacher and she volunteered at the hospital where she met Carlise Cullen and from there she met the rest of the Cullens.
