With powers one could only dream of, Jenna lightwood a very high and talented warlock with supernatural abilities, raised and trained by an assassin who fed her nothing but lies to her. She is now transformed as the heartless and evil being he had always wanted her to be . But either ways she is not to be blamed, Because obviously who wouldn't believe what his father told them about shielding themselves from the demons lurking in the shadows just waiting for the right time to strike? And that demons are non other than her real parents. I bet no one has the audacity to go against a powerful and sly assassin like himself. But what disturbed her the more was the pair of sea blue eyes that visited her almost everynight in her sleep trying to help and shield her from coursing destruction onto herself.

It still didn't end with him gracing her with his sea blue eyes every night but also telling her the truth about her hole existence which infact led to the destruction he has always feared for her. Can she trust him when he infact refuse to tell her his real motive behind him helping her? Or will she ignore her instincts and go with the flow as some thing called love knocked at her doors?.

In a world where darkness reigns and monsters rule, humanity's survival depends on those with power. A decade ago, the Earth fell to horrific creatures-beasts that tore apart cities and destroyed what remained of civilization. In the aftermath, society fractured into four groups, each shaped by its beliefs and the supernatural abilities that arose in response to the terror. Angels heal the wounded but at the cost of their vitality. Demons wage war on the monsters, fueled by their thirst for human blood. Rare and feared devils wield blood magic that allows them to control the essence of life itself, but they must feast on monster blood to regain their strength. And then there are the God-powered-a mysterious few who possess elemental abilities that could hold the key to ending the chaos but are believed to be little more than a myth. Emery, a quiet college student, lives in the shadows of this broken world. Though she possesses the powers of a Devil, she keeps her identity hidden, unwilling to draw attention. Her days are spent in isolation, away from the chaos, with only her books and a few trusted friends to keep her company. But when whispers of a possible God-powered emerge, Emery is thrust into a deadly race. If she can find them, the union of the Devil and God could be the world's only chance at survival. But trust is scarce, and betrayal lurks in every corner. Demons are unpredictable, Angels are slowly losing their strength, and the Devils grow increasingly detached from humanity, fueled by the monster blood they consume. As the hunt for the last hope intensifies, Emery must navigate a world of shifting allegiances, hidden agendas, and monsters that are not always what they seem. In this dystopian future, where fear and power rule, Emery will have to decide if saving the world is worth the cost of her humanity.
Reborn: The Allies of Old (Book One) by LinnetMc
8 parts Complete Mature
Nineteen year old Anna Preston appears to lead a life typical for a young woman in modern-day America. But she has a secret. For the past three years she's been seeing shadowy figures mingling with the populace. Made of smoke and vapor with a vaguely human form, they are not overtly threatening, but in the recesses of her mind there are whispers of nightmares long buried and forgotten. Jared is of a race created solely for the purpose of protecting humankind from demons, and for the first two centuries of life he was fully devoted to the service. Until the very ones he protected repaid him by destroying everything he ever loved. For decades Jared's hatred of humans was a living thing, but time has a way of dulling strong emotion and centuries later he is mostly indifferent. But when he learns a vial of his blood is being used in depraved activities, a long forgotten past comes hurdling back. ** Humans, Vampires, Faerians, and Shifters once banded together to fight their common enemy, but it has been many centuries since the demons presented a real threat to the world- and in these modern times most are oblivious to the danger lurking just beyond their perception and mankind has reduced both allies and enemies to fairy tales and boogie men. Signs are beginning to appear that allude to this threat rising in power once more, but with the alliances largely broken and those still continuing the fight few and far between, the human race is on the precipice of a grave danger that could threaten their very existence. And so it is of dire need for the allies to gather together once more. Ancient prophesies will soon begin to surface, one in particular that speaks of a unifying force initiated by the unlikeliest of beings...

A hidden world that exists within her own, explodes around her as she is faced with menacing creatures of the deep, ugly venomous creatures with voices so beautiful they bring humans to their knees, and a wicked beast with eyes the color of blood. When she touches them, their dark powers flow into her, awakening a hunger in her that had laid dormant for seventeen years. The darkness is seductive when it deals in rage. And rage is exactly what she needs to survive. Not only must she keep her powers a secret, she must also contend with the new boy in school. He is both dangerous and unnaturally handsome, drawing her in like a magnet. What she can't explain is why being close to him causes her physical pain.
