He sprinted through the woods, a sheen of sweat coating his forehead. Tears streaked the young man's face as he ran from the demon, but no matter how quick he made his legs pump he could not escape. Its claws slashed at the back of his shirt, piercing his skin; like a knife would butter. The boy didn't even cry out. He saw a break in the trees ahead.
"Help!" He screamed desperately, as he forced his way through bushes to get to the road he could see through the trees. "Help!"
He heard the demon shriek and stop its pursuit as he dashed out into the middle of the road. He heard a deafening honk, and his head whipped to the left. Before he blacked out, he saw a blinding light.
