Trigger warning - Severely sensitive topics. Around 25 years ago, an unknown virus plagued the Earth- targeting none other than fresh and unaltered genetic codes. Humans, animals, plants- any living matter that comes in contact with it quickly faces its immense mutational power, sparking nothing but unruly destruction. This living nightmare demanded more than a simple adaptation, it forced a complete overhaul on daily life. Yet, despite humanity's best efforts to adapt to this new system- cities plummeted to the ground, nations were obliterated in chaotic arrays of fire, countries infected by the scourge of madness brought about by meaningless war. Humanity was driven to the brink of extinction. In a desperate attempt to survive these conditions, humanity came up with something to protect them. Colonies. A radius considered a "Safe Zone", as it incapacitates any infected attempting to breach its perimeter. Its the perfect environment to rebuild what's left of society. On the flip-side, the infected create nests of their own, producing genetic amalgams beyond human comprehension, and attracting many others of their kind. It is assumed that their sole objective is to propagate. Consume. These are called "Contamination Zones", and their increased numbers have caused dozens of Colonies, and outposts alike, to suffer breaches and irreversible changes all over the continent. The infected are ruthlessly growing stronger. Rhys, the Warden of Zamaton Colony, has taken measures to prevent the catastrophic events from ever reaching their quiet life, where Kayden Moss, the survivalist in question, has lived for the past 3 years. If all goes well, they'll avoid these breaches, Or so it seems...

The Human's Colony

5 parts Ongoing

In one world, humans are hunted to extinction. Invasive abominations that were wiped out by the bugs who lived there. Bugs whose peace was robbed of until the act of extermination saved them and gave them their home back. Ever since then, the bugs had lived happier than before, with a loyal and protective council made from the leader of the rebellion consisting of colony rulers. The bugs are willing to do whatever it takes to protect their home, so they'll go as far to exterminate any human they come across. When four teenage bugs, a moth, a yellowjacket, a butterfly, and a roly poly discover a human that stumbled into their world, they can't bring themselves to murder her. Upon knowing that the human had come alone with no memories of how she got here, the bugs have to figure out how to get her back where she came from before any bugs find out. Giving her a centipede disguise seems like the fitting idea. But things go downhill when she becomes the light of the town they live in with her human culture, and accidentally attracts the unwanted attention of the council. The four friends have to do whatever it takes to keep the human's identity hidden as they try to find her a way home. But there are some bugs out there that won't make it easy for them.
