When you've achieved your dreams of going on a solo mission to Mars, you're met with a wormhole unknown to mankind. What's worse is that you have no clue what planet you landed on is; Mars isn't light gray and pink. As you figure out how to return back to planet Earth, you start questioning yourself: was all of this a good idea?
This short story is written for a hackathon in April 2022, and is the initial script for the game "NOMIA". The game is not formally released, but will be in the future. The style of writing is that similar to a choose your own adventure.

In order to embark on a mission to discover alien life on the icy moon of Jupiter Maria must leave her life on Earth behind, including her father and her seven-year-old son Diego. She thought the hardest part of the mission would be saying goodbye, but little does she know what awaits her and her crew on Europa, an environment that has never been explored from the surface until this mission. Perhaps alien life was never meant to be explored by humans... Will she fulfill her promise to her father and son to make it home alive, or will she fail to make good on that promise like her mother did when she was a little girl? Note: This story was written during a challenge to write an entire book in one week!
