Rachel Gardner, after wanting to die for so long, had to give up her hopes, due to the refusal of Zack. During their escape from the police, and ultimately Japan, they realize that they care for each other more deeply than they'd previously thought.

(This is a ZackRay ship, however I'm closing the age gap between them to Rachel being 14 turning 15 and Zack being 19 turning 20 because I'm trying to be realistic without too much of a gap like that. Adding to this, there will obviously be no intimacy between the two).
