Weight. It pushes you down. Your chest tightening and your lungs and nose fill with fluid. You gasp and there is no air. Only water. Your eyes sting from the salt. You stretch, reaching to break the surface. Pressure pulls you down at every angle and you cry out. Water pushes its way down your throat and your hands grasp at your neck. Darkness pools into your vision. All you hear and feel is the slow heavy echo of your heart. Your limbs loose connection to your body. You are no longer in control. The beating stutters and you float lame in the water. Your heart stops and your last breath releases itself floating to the surface in tiny bubbles. All Rights Reserved
