Sasuke and Naruto form a connection after the blond's confession. The Uchiha had changed but hatred for his brother still remained.
After Sasuke left the village, Naruto change and always questioned his own competence as a ninja ang as a friend.
Kakashi seeing his once goofy student turn somber hurt him and made it his goal to bring back the once sunshine boy. As Kakashi helps out his student he begins to notice more things about the boy. Slowly Kakashi realizes there is more to Naruto than what he first thought and a new feeling starts to blossom.
Years after he left, Sasuke longed for Naruto in his arms. He kills Orochimaru and returns to persuade Naruto to join him but instead sees the bond between his previous sensei and his ex-lover. Envy stirs in his gut and the battle for the blond's love ensues.
