Seraphina is heir of her tribe, but everyone shuns her and deems her an outcast, even those that are her supposed family. She is a dragon rider, a race that has the power to build great and magical bonds with dragons, binding them together for eternity. Seraphina is about to be chosen by her own dragon, but what will happen when the tribe doesn't agree? They believe that she will turn on them, just as every single one that has carried the same curse as she does before has. The reason for this belief? Seraphina is a fire wielder, one of the worst omens in her tribe. However, that is far from the worst of her problems. Seren is a hunter from the Guild of Magical Hunters. The guild hunts down all magical creatures and beings because they believe that they pose a threat to the human race. Seren is dispatched to kill Seraphina and her mount when she is spotted running away from the only home she has ever known. But what will happen when Seren realizes that not all magical creatures are harmful to her and that they might actually be worth protecting? And what will she make of Seraphina, a hot headed girl who can't take no for an answer? Only time will tell.
