New girl. New town. New crowd. Veronica is immediately drawn into the popular group as she begins her time at Hawkins High, but something doesn't feel right. It's not too easy for Veronica to get away from that cookie cutter life. In order to do so, she starts secretly hanging out with Eddie Munson, and a secret relationship begins to bud.
Things get rocky when Veronica's Aunt forces her to get a job at the local Family Video as punishment for sneaking out with Eddie. She meets Steve Harrington and Robin Buckley, which causes immense jealousy between relationships...but none of that matters once a frantic Eddie crawls through her window one night, stuttering his words and fear flooding his eyes. He then reveals a terrible truth to Veronica that not only changes her perspective of Hawkins completely, but draws her into a world of monsters and death that had been right below her feet all along.
This story is based in the time of season 4, but not everything from season 4 will apply.

Moving into the small town of Hawkins during her sophomore year of high school wasn't a treat, but she didn't let it ruin her spirits too much. In fact, she even made some new friends along the way. Granted, most of them were in middle school and were major nerds, but that didn't bother her. She even joined in on some of their DnD campaigns whenever they invited her. It was fun, that was until one of the kids, Will, went missing. Along the way to finding him, (Y/N) befriends some people from her own school, including the goody-two-shoes Nancy Wheeler, and her boyfriend, Steve "The Hair" Harrington. She never really understood why everyone was obsessed with Steve. Or was everyone obsessed with his hair? She never knew. He could be a real asshole sometimes, too. But for whatever reason, she finds herself becoming closer with him the more they hang out. Most everyone has gotten their chance to escape, Nancy and Jonathan moved to California after graduation. Robin's off at college.
