(Takes place after Hands of Time and before Sons of Garmadon). Since Kai and Nya found out what happened to their parents, they feel whole. As for Cole, well, after all those incidents, for some reason, now he feels even MORE separated from the team and doesn't know why. Ever since Cole went through the rift of the Yin blade back in Day of the Departed, he thinks everything with him is back to normal. But just in, Ninjago City is in great danger and the ninja now have to face a new enemy. That enemy wants Cole himself. Cole discovers something disturbing that's the going on with his family. It causes issues with his father, master and his friends at the same time. And during the adventure with Kai and Nya (HoT), Cole discovered a new power inside of him. It was powerful. He liked it, it helped the ninja a lot. Cole was stronger than he ever was before. And now he's their biggest target ..... In this story, Cole must face the Queen of Ghouls, otherwise the Realm of Ninjago will fall into the hands of Evil... Note: I just saw the ending of HoT, and just pretend that this about two months after they saved Master/Sensei Wu

The couple were determined to avenge their fallen children and defeat the ones responsible for their deaths, or so they thought. In the present day, the ninja, Kai, Cole, Jay, Nya, and Zane, with their masters, Wu and Garmadon, discover a large organization of the same assassins that attacked Misako and Garmadon being lead by a powerful and dangerous foe on an unknown island they never knew about-the Dark Island. This foe was unlike others, he was the eternal enemy of the First Spinjitzu Master. Together, the ninja team work their way over to the island to try and fight them, not knowing that a small group, who aren't so different from the ninja, are already working on it.
