Hayla Kaan is an assassin, the best known and most feared throughout the system. In a desperate move to gather information about the Republic, the Separatists hire Kaan, succeeding in all their missions.
After the assassin's multiple raids on the Jedi Temple, the captain of the 501st legion, Rex, devises a plan to capture the hitherto mysterious invader. Her identity is revealed and Hayla is arrested and sentenced, but she is offered a proposal: if she served the Republic until the end of the war, Hayla would be free and with credits that would last a long time.

Now, Coruscant's greatest assassin found herself tasked with battle missions alongside Jedi Knights, lost in a war that was not her own and trapped in the captain's shadow.

 Well, maybe the captain part wasn't so bad.
