Emerson Blackwood and Skye Kazansky had dreamed of becoming pilots for as long as they could remember.
Through an extensive amount of training at the Naval Academy and flight school, the two best friends had easily become some of the best Naval Aviators in the country, and are given the chance of a lifetime to attend the five week Top Gun training program.
Graduating at the top of their class, and being one of the youngest to have graduated, the girls only continue to excel in their Naval careers.
However, they - amongst a few of their fellow graduates - are soon called back to Top Gun for a special detachment, which ultimately leads to tragedy, high risks, pasts resurfacing, and blossoming relationships.
Sounds easy enough, right?
