Three teenagers huddle inside the small interior of an old elevator. The top button is pressed, and as the lift struggles to rise through the abandoned shaft, August swears under her breath. She told Bobbie this was a terrible idea. To her left, Bobbie stands smiling mischievously. Behind her, George stands stiff as a board. 4 seconds into ascending, the elevator comes to a sudden halt. Bobbie and George grimace at each other and August turns to yell, but to their surprise, the elevator continues upward, almost as if it never aged. They reach the top floor and the elevator comes to a soft, slow, stop. She begins to think maybe exploring this abandoned motel could be fun after all. Except- why are the lights on?
