It is 1973, David Bowie moves to Gilbert, Texas after a divorce with Mick Jagger. There, he runs into the well known brothel, The Chicken Ranch. The Ranch has been around in that town for almost 100 years. But when Ed Earl Dodd, the sheriff who looks out for The Chicken Ranch, finds out a reporter, Melvin P. Thorpe wants to expose it, him and David (who became a deputy in the small town) go to try and get Melvin to change his kind.
