At 17 years old Luz decided to run from home she manage to go between realms and ended up on the Boiling Isles. When she decides to stay and help Eda, the most wanted witch on the Boiling Isles, her life turns upside down. She has to deal with various threats, from the deadly environment, and tyrannical government, to her own demons. After a few months, she finally managed to more or less stabilize her life, no matter the outside threats but everything changed as a new foe appeared in her life. How will she deal with the new problem? Will fighting your way through be enough? Raine, Darius, Eberwolf, search for ways to defeat the Collector while also trying to identify the people spreading rumours that the Day of Unity was a benevolent spell gone wrong. Eda, Lilith, Steve, and Hooty try to pick up the pieces of their lives and find a way to bring King home. When Camila and the teenagers reveal that Belos is, unfortunately, not dead, the mission shifts and it's all-hands-on-deck to figure out where he's hiding, what his next move is, and if they can get to him before he decides to strike. In the process, Hunter has to grapple with who (and what) he is and his friends are determined to help him reach his goals of learning magic, attending Hexside, and coping with not only the death of his beloved Flapjack, but all the traumatic events he's endured (including, but not limited to, near death experiences, being raised in relative isolation by Belos, and watching the only parental figure he had for most of his life splatted on a wall).
