Michael Amery is a big time New York City gangster during the era of prohibition. He is known as a smart yet cut throat businessman. He finds himself investing in Mr. Price's company, who has a debutant as a daughter, Ms. Clair Price. Michael can't seem to let her go and Clair can't seem to stay away. She is as innocent as they come yet under all that innocence is a secretive side that she keeps hidden. She is her mothers proudest creation and her fathers jewel. She will be the sole heir to all that is his, yet for love she would give it all up. She is a romantic through and through always wanting to see the good and never the bad. Heartbroken and guarded she manages to lower some of her walls that were built two years prior to meeting Mr. Amery. Her innocence is what drew him in but his chaos is what made her want to stay.
