THE GENERAL

Seven days.

Just seven days.

That was how long it took for Prudence to put a crack in my meticulously built armor.

For half of my life, I managed to elude my pursuers-women and enemies alike-by hiding my true identity. And for that same amount of time, I had followed four simple rules: don't let a woman become a distraction, don't become someone's pawn, don't lead by emotion, and don't show mercy unless it is necessary.
