Alex is an only child, a force of nature, and an academic machine. At least, she likes to focus on those aspects of her life. At night she dwells on past heartbreak, stalks her dad's perfect mistress, and powers through panic attacks.
It's a nice little bubble she's constructed, and only one person is strong enough to trespass it.
It wasn't Jonathan's intention to land up in the house of the girl who most despises him, much less to take up a bunk bed in her room, but there's not much of a choice at hand. His father kicked him out, his mother turned his back on him, and his life turned on its head in an instant.
After all, it's hard to keep everything the same when you suddenly have a roommate.
A plethora of movie nights, heated arguments and surprising reveals later, neither of them know what to believe anymore. How can you hate the only person who can truly give you peace?
Alex may be excellent at climbing the ladder that separates her from her lovely predicament, but she may not be ready for the fall that comes next.
