Ren Amamiya, and his girlfriend, Sumire Yoshizawa, have been given a new mission by Igor and his master, Philemon, the creator of the Velvet Room. Together, the Joker and his Violet, acting as Philemon's proxies in a wager with his old rival, known only as the Crawling Chaos, travel back in time to the spring of 2009 where they must defy fate once more by saving the life of Minato Arisato, while at the same time, Ren, Sumire, Minato, his twin sister, Minako Arisato, and the members of the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad, must try to find another way to ensure the future,  however limited, remains safeguarded from certain destruction as foretold by prophecy.

Should Ren and Sumire succeed in their mission, more than one innocent life might be spared from a premature death thanks to their intervention. Failure, however, will, in no uncertain terms, spell the end of all things...

However, one faithful day, prior to Tom and Maddie got news that they're having a baby, Sonic comes across discovering Robotnik's return and his all-new powerful dimension-jumping machine. Without further notice, Sonic ended up landing himself in the year 20XX in Shibuya, Japan. Alone and homesick, Sonic finds comfort in befriending a young man named Ren Amamiya who was in probation. Upon discovering the Metaverse and the corruption that lies in Shibuya, Sonic and Ren go all out together to change the hearts of the corrupt adults and recruit like-minded outcasts in their cause. At the same time, accomplish receiving guidance of eight virtues to unlock the secret power of himself; an Outcast to society. After months of getting to know and love Futaba Sakura, knowing that she is the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with, it's all ripped away by one man. Takuto Maruki has decided that people cannot be allowed to think for themselves, and that they should never have to feel pain, well, unless you interfere with his plan. After being thoroughly trounced by the Phantom Thieves, Maruki makes one last ditch attempt to break the theives, and kills Futaba. In his blind rage, Akira Kurusu, otherwise known as Joker takes matters into his own hands, and stops the mad God in his tracks. Time reverts to its original self, with Akechi dead and gone and Maruki and Futaba alive and well, and Akira in Juvinile Detention. After being freed from prison, he finds out that something went wrong when the timeline was restored. Futaba knows him not as her lover, but merely as his friend. Now Akira must find a way to cope with this new life in Hometown, while trying to juggle the return of the Metaverse, and Futaba tries to find her way through the complex feelings she has for Joker, but can't quite explain, as well as the dreams that almost feel like memories. Will she push through and recover her memories and her love? Or will she and Akira both fade into the Mementos of what they have lost. I took a couple liberties with events and the Timeline, but overall, I stayed fairly close to the original game's story. This is a passion project that sprung to mind while driving, and now I'm hyperfixated... Welp, time to churn out a book. ENJOY READING IT!!
