After being pushed by her extroverted brother Danny to go on an impromptu vacation in the mountains, Millicent realized just how isolated she had become over the past year. While the trip showed her just how much she missed human interaction, she found herself at war with herself. Was she ready for a real connection? Was it all just in her head? Would anyone really be willing to put up with all her baggage? She had a hard time believing someone would. Still, She couldn't seem to get her mind off her brother's friend, Max. Constantly torn between the two Millicent's in her mind, she felt lost.

A quiet, intimidating, and attractive man, Max was unbothered by most things in life. He was incredibly observant, and found himself focusing on one person in particular. But he couldn't get invested with his best friend's sister. At least he thought so.

This is the story of six orphans - a woman and five men who have lived together like a family for a long time. Though not related by blood, yet they share that strong bond with each other. Then, one day, it happens. The woman dies, shattering the peace and harmony of their house. Not long after, they come across a mysterious yet intriguing stranger who may want to help them. But, are they really trustworthy? Only time will tell. ⚬─────────✧─────────⚬ Excerpt from the book : She didn't mount on the bike. Instead, she stood there holding the helmet. "My mother had warned me about strangers." I looked at her in confusion. "Okay, so?" "So what's your name?" She asked as if a stranger won't be able to say a fake name at all. Smart little kid. "Levi." She nodded. "Levi, hmm." "Now, can we get going, stranger kid?" "Okay," she said and got on my bike. It seemed like she didn't hear what I had called her. I started the bike and rode off. "Wait, did you call me a kid again?" I chuckled. "Took you long enough." ° •
