It was just supposed to be a kiss. They'd been dating long before Anaka had been turned into a vampire, and Vash thought they could make it work. But... things got out of hand. Now Vash is single, heartbroken, and desperate for blood. Literally.

Fortunately, she meets the so-called Hugh, an immortal who has long ago lost any zest for life. He teaches her how to get by and how to kill. Perhaps, though he doesn't know it, Vash has something to teach him, too.

Meanwhile, Anaka has big plans, and she's not going to let guilt get in her way.
