"My biggest fear..." He trails off, chewing on the inside of his cheek and staring at his shoes in deep thought. For a second, I think he isn't going to tell me, but then he speaks up, his voice much smaller this time. Barely a whisper.

"My biggest fear is losing you."

Skye works the night shift as a bartender at Neo's Nightclub, collecting penny for penny to help pay off her older brother's tuition. It's tough work, but she enjoys the buzzing energy the club offers. But her world turns upside down when a mysterious man going by 'Kook' enters the bar and asks her to be his partner for Lusus Noctis, a two-week long game held only at night.

After convincing her to play, Kook, and his trusty motorcycle, lead her from clue to clue in hopes of winning and splitting the grand prize of $500,000. But the game turns out to be more than Skye ever bargained for, becoming both illegal and dangerous. So when it seems everyone around her has a secret to hide, she begins to wonder who she can really trust. Just who is Kook behind his tough-guy façade? Can she really let herself fall for him when it seems he has so much hidden beneath the surface?

And most importantly: can they make it out of this game alive?
