James loves Betty.

He's been certain of that ever since he saw her for the first time. He knows he's in love when she smiles at him, when he holds her under the moonlit sky and when he gives her his cardigan. Betty is perfect for him.

Until, one summer, he meets Augustine and all of his certainties are destroyed. Augustine is nothing like Betty; she's lively, radiant and desperately wants to be loved. James can't help but feel a strong connection to her, even if he's still with Betty.

Once Augustine becomes a hazy, summer memory, James will have to make an important choice that will determine his future with Betty. Nothing is certain anymore, even their hopes have become fragile and delicate.

Will young, teenage love win over a passionate, summer adventure?

Based on Taylor's songs "betty", "august" and "cardigan", but it can also be read as a stand-alone romance novel.
