It wasn't how Kai-McCall had expected her Friday night to end. Honestly, Kai would never have even considered being in such a situation. It would never have occurred to her that a few weeks ago, her life would change both for the better and for the worse.

Until a few weeks ago, Kai McCall seemed to be living a normal life. As normal as it gets when you're constantly trying to stay out of trouble, get good grades, and hang out with friends.
As if dealing with high school troubles weren't enough, she has another problem to deal with. Kai has to deal with the fact that there is a dangerous monster roaming around her city attacking people.
