Carter Macyn has had a pretty rough life. He has always had one thing hanging around in the back of his mind: His dead sister.
Before she died, she went insane and was sent off to an asylum, where she was reprimended to death. They say it was her weak heart. He won't have any of it.
After a few months off of school, his counselor says that he can make up his missed credits by taking an array of classes, one of them consisiting of AP Psychology. He doesn't want to take it in the first place, because of disorders, which his sister had. But it's not only the study of disorders, but a person's reaction to them. When his teacher assigns him to study a patient at the local asylum, he loses it. He doesn't want any part of their system.
But he is forced to do it, or else he won't graduate in two years like he planned. He takes the class, but grudgingly does so.
But as he is about to discover, there are hidden wonders behind seeing someone with a mental disorder. His partner has no name. All it states is that she was raped, her family murdered, and suffered from a mental break, resulting in MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder)
As he hangs around her more often, he gets to meet each personality and enjoys every one of them in one way or another. He begins to enjoy her company and even gets involved with the healing process. But what else lays behind her mental exterior?
He may never know.
Or will he?
