(WARNING: This description contains spoilers from the following movies/shows, TFaTWS, Civil War, The First Avenger and lastly, The Winter Soldier, Read at your own convenience).
After TFaTWS (The Falcon and The Winter Soldier) Aired and ended I believe I can speak for everyone who's a pretty big fan of Bucky and Sebastian Stan's work when I ask the following questions, Did Bucky ever find love? Did he ever stop getting nightmares completely? Did he ever finally find peace? Now we all know at the end when Bucky gives up the last thing connecting him with Steve, (Steve's notebook) basically saying he had finally let go of Steve and their past and present friendship or as others' had seen as more of a bromance relationship. Well essentially what I'm getting with this is that we never really were informed and got the 'satisfaction' of him being okay, and taken care of. I know he's a grown ass man but I will always have a soft spot for Bucky and all the trauma he has went through. Thus let's get onto the story and see what his life is now like in the future for us but present for him, and how he's taking things.
Your POV will be one of his newly made friends and in order to make this make sense I will start by filling in all the gaps in his hydra life that were never exactly filled in by MARVEL, for the first 10-ish chapters. Starting by explaining how badly he was treated and how deep this trauma really goes, since MARVEL never exactly made us understand. Hope you understand and like the story! Enjoy!

For this fic, you better be ready to throw almost all the lore of Endgame. Break downtime. What if Tony never died? And what if because of that he fell in love with you, not Pepper? But then what if after 2 years he broke up with you and you are completely heartbroken? What if Steve was still around? Since Tony never died we never see the scene of the trio of people who then get series (y'all know the scene I'm talking about don't pretend you don't) so Wanda and Bucky never actually meet? That was the last conversation I had with Steve. If I had known it would be the last I would've said more.
