CT-7209, named Kando, is the Commander of Breaker Squad, an elite mobile squad in the Coruscant Guard tasked with neutralizing threats from terrorist cells to assassins to rowdy bar fights at 79's. A seasoned commander and a veteran of Geonosis, Kando is no stranger to combat. Accompanied by his squadmates Red, Grek, and Tor, he works tirelessly to maintain order across the many levels of Coruscant.

However, his biggest challenge comes in a small package. When his squad is assigned the task of hunting down a terrorist cell targeting senators and their families, they are also assigned Kando's worst nightmare: a Jedi. Mistrusting of Jedi because of his experiences on Geonosis and the frontlines, when Kando is presented with the young and blindingly optimistic Jedi Padawan Talen Jall, he knows he's in for a long mission. When the terrorist cell's motives slowly begin becoming clearer, Kando comes to realize that he might have to put aside his prejudices and learn to trust his young Jedi or fail their mission altogether.

Trust is a fragile thing. Slow to form, easy to rip apart. For Jora Dame, it couldn't be more true. At barely sixteen, she was accused of a crime she didn't commit and nearly lost her life for it. When she realizes the Jedi are far from what they're supposed to be, Jora leaves the Jedi Order and few remaining friends to start a new life. As time passes, pieces of her past resurface, whether she likes it or not. With Order 66 happening, keeping her past identity hidden is harder than ever. The galaxy is dangerous now more than ever, the only option for surviving seeming to be trusting again. But that might be too much for Jora. "A crew member," he started to explain. "Or, you know, partner, I guess. I'm doing this job for someone, might need your help. What do you say?" "I'll pass," I said once I'd put the credits into a pouch with the rest and stuffing it into one of my many pockets. "I don't work well with people." "You're a deeply mistrusting person...and I respect that," he said, as if he knew my true reason. "But come on, you need the work. You probably haven't had a real meal in well over a month, have you? If this mission goes well, we can keep doing it until you get enough money to properly be on your own. It's not like I'll hurt you or anything. What do you have to lose?" I didn't say anything. What did I have to lose? Nothing. Not anymore. He was right, I was on my own, I hadn't eaten in days. This was the only chance I had, and if he was tricking me, well. I didn't have anything to lose. "Okay," I said finally. "I'm in."

"I have heard that you rebel against the Empire. Is this true?" Hera stayed silent and looked at the man with disgust written all over her face. "Shame that such a pretty woman like you would betray her beloved Empire." he pressed onward. "I have no love for the Empire... not after what they did to my home and all of the other planets that people call home all over this galaxy." Hera said, losing her temper. "Seeing as we, the Empire that you hate so much, need information and you seem to have some... well, we are going to have to relieve you of that knowledge. You see, most prisoners like you are not that eager to give out information, so we have to extract it from them, sometimes rather painfully. Because I am kinder than the others here, I am going to give you two options. One, we painfully break you and get the information out of you. Or two, we painfully extract that information out of the man that is here with you. So... it's your choice. Which will it be?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Book 1: Hera Syndulla and Kanan Jarrus have been operating as a duo for quite some while now after they met on Gorse.
