Lol ao3 was down so I decided to upload it here.

A reimagining of Outer Banks if magic and monsters existed. Mostly magic. 

Most of S1 is canon in this fic. Meaning you already know basically what happens. But I intertwined a lot of the lore and stuff that I wrote into the actual show so even though you already know kind of what's gonna happen, as much as I hate saying you have to read to understand, you kinda have to read to get the premise of the magic rules and stuff that I step up for it all to make sense. 

This is also vaguely a JJ fic focusing on his character arc and growth. Very very slow burn with JJ/Pope as endgame. I will also be focusing on the main plot as well since the gold itself plays a massive part in this fic.

The Pogues have known magic existed since junior high due to them ganging up on JJ to follow one of, at the time, new founding principles of being a Pogue- "Pogues don't have secrets."

takes place after the events of season 1 (edit: I wrote this way before season 2 or 3 came out so yuh) It's been a month since John B and Sarah have been pronounced dead. No bodies were found which gives them the smallest sliver of hope. But hope of what? That their friends somehow survived that deadly storm? That their bodies are still floating around somewhere in the Pacific? There is no hope anymore. John B, their best friend, is dead. There's nothing more to it. He's dead and so is Sarah. Coming to terms with this has been one of the hardest and single most heartbreaking thing any of the pogues have had to deal with. Hi! I got this idea really randomly and just decided to write this book. It's a little different from the actual show, and there are definitely certain themes which make the story line a bit more graphic so viewer discretion is advised; definitely a spicer version of the Netflix show if you get what I mean. Just want to preface it by saying that there will be some triggers, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to catch them all because I've only lightly edited this (so if there are some minor plot holes just ignore them LOL), but the main ones will be sexual assault, suicide, physical/verbal abuse, and mental illness.
