I dislike how little there is on dagur x male reader stories there are out there so here I am! The reader is male but you can read this even if you don't go by he/him just don't complain about it.
Dagur won't be introduced immediately as this book starts at the beginning of httyd 1. I hope you enjoy this book!
The original dagur x male reader is by sidious99, and is what inspired me to make this book (edit: the account has been deleted for some reason, there is a profile under the name but no books and says they joined 2023 but I know the book had to have been written before/around I joined) EDIT: I FOUND IT ON AO3! it's called the Guardsman by the99thfanboy it hasn't been updated in a while and it's doesn't have everything that it used to but it's better than nothing

ITS HICCSTRID!! This has been written over the course of about 4 years, so if you don't want to put up with the cringe writing feel free to skip to 'wait! She's your...' because that's when the writing starts to go uphill :) Most are based during/after rtte and httyd 2. A couple set either earlier or later. Only one modern. The writing quality is all over the place, so my apologies if some are hard reads. A little angst, a little humor and a lot of fluff! Just cuteness!! Please leave a suggestion or feedback! Dagur had a secret for a long time. The reason he was so angry, the reason he had to fight against the dragon riders for so long. The reason he lost himself. His stupid feelings. Updates once a month or more often depending on my schedule. Warning: This story contains heavy themes, such as addiction, drug abuse and mentions of self harm and suicide. If any of that is triggering, please don't read. This story is only somewhat cannon compliant. I decided to remove some things, and give others my very own flare. And it's a slowburn :)
